Hello I am Katheryn, owner and chef of To Your Taste | Food and Functions
I grew up on a beautiful dairy farm in Kwa-Zulu Natal. I love farm life, which I why I returned to my home roots and now run To Your Taste from there.
Before returning home to the farm, I studied at Silwood School of Cookery and completed the Grande Diploma in Cordon Bleu Cooking. I worked in several restaurants and hotels in and around Cape Town, before going to the University of Cape Town to complete a Postgraduate in Entrepreneurship.
Loving the food world and all the creativity that comes with it, I decided that was what I wanted to pour my time, creativity and energy into. I worked as a head chef in Cape Town, and then came home to start a catering business. Since then I have travelled to Italy and France to cook with well-renown chefs, and to gather inspiration and get my creative cooking juices flowing.
I love creating beautiful, fresh and seasonal food for weddings and private functions; and take pride in ingredients prepared with love and care, the way they should be!
